Musical News

Pick a story featured in the newspaper. Read the story to your class and then discuss how this could be turned into a musical. Divide the class into groups and have each group compose the words to a song or poem that goes with their part of the story.

Behind the Success

Using the newspaper, have students select an article about a person they believe is successful. It might be an athlete, actor, business person or community volunteer.
