Median Ages

Find and list the ages of nine people who appear in the news. List the ages from oldest to youngest. Circle the median age on your list (the middle number listed). Add up the list of ages and divide your total by 9. This is the average age of your newsmakers. Are the ages the same? Try this activity with just women's ages. Try it with just men's ages. What conclusions can you draw about your newsmakers?
