Lead
The first sentence or paragraph of a news story is the lead. It usually answers who*** what ***when*** where ***why and how. Cut out a lead. Paste it in a scrapbook. Label it and draw lines from the words that answer who*** what*** where*** when***why and how.

Look through your newspaper and find articles that mention something that might have an impact on agriculture. Write one sentence beside each article explaining why agriculture might be affected.

Research
Look very carefully through the newspaper. Find and read articles about scientific developments or research.
