Pet Rock Olympics
At the Colorado State Fair, contestants bring their own pet rocks and compete for prizes in two competitions: “Best Dressed” and “Farthest Distance Roller”. The rocks must be in their natural state, no changes made by people are allowed.

Giant Cabbage Competition
In Alaska, people raise really big cabbages and their state fair gives them a chance to show off these mega-cabbages. In 2017, Brian Shunskis of Salcha, AK won with his 81.35-pound whopper. The record holder was Scott A. Robb’s colossal 138.25-pound champion in 2012! How much do you weigh? Are these cabbages heavier than you?
